PROGRAMS

GameChangers begins with you. What do you want to achieve? How do you define success? A needs assessment (think of it as an ‘improvisational audit’) determines factors like the flexibility of your organization, skill at listening and networking, modes of leadership, and key players in the quest to achieve your objectives. We keep a special eye out for people on your team who practice the GameChangers principles already, whether they know it or not. Remember, nine times out of ten, the solutions are to be discovered within you and your organization.

When we’ve articulated the mission, we customize our ‘Five Act’ methodology (Listen, Connect, Collaborate, Adapt, Perform) to suit your business environment and achieve your objectives. The duration, depth and content for each engagement are determined in collaboration with clients.

We use ’serious play’ to encourage the openness and participation that make learning possible. Games are the underlying principle of improvisation, and, naturally, of GameChangers. Games establish rules, roles, environment and objectives. They create the agreement and focus to keep egos in check, process crisp, and subjective judgments to a minimum. Because we ask participants to let go of any preconceptions about professional roles and normative behaviors, we establish a confidential environment in which they can feel safe, open and fully engaged in the learning. Trust is essential, participants with one another, and clients with GameChangers. All our work is conducted in strict confidence.

After an engagement, we conduct regular post-assessments to chart progress against the objectives.

Here are general descriptions of four recent GameChangers engagements and their objectives:

Leadership: A large (40K+ employees) multinational producer of household products hired us to conduct a series of leadership programs over a nine-month period for its key executives from around the world. The objective is to improve leadership with a specific focus on listening and cross-functional communication.

Change Management: A department of the federal government hired us to conduct workshops for its executives on managing change. The objective is to give its senior employees the tools to maintain consistent performance and effective collaboration in a rapidly-evolving economic and political environment.

Communication: A large financial institituon (20K+ employees) hired us to improve communication so that its managers and teams can better address changes in the regulatory environment, enabling them to respond swiftly and consistently in a challenging business climate.

Teamwork: A small (45 employees) interactive marketing agency engaged GameChangers to conduct a series of workshops to lift employee morale through team exercises, improve productivity with better communication, and boost sales with better and faster collaborations with potential clients. Over a six month period every employee participated in at least one GameChangers workshop.
